Markus retained his position at Vancouver Community College until recently where he worked as a clinical instructor in the denturist program. He is uniquely qualified to be registered both as a denturist (RD) as well as a dental technician (RDT); in 2012 he also completed the Provincial Instructor Diploma.

Markus has attended many courses over the years and has received the following certifications:

• BPS Precision Dentures
• EPIC Partial Denture, Complete Denture and Implant Provider
• Dr. Abe Suction Efficient Dentures (SEMCD)

This additional training allows him to advance and hone his knowledge and practical skills in order to give you the best possible denture care.

Markus is very active in the community. He resides with his wife and seven children in Mission and you may meet him and his family at various community and school events. Markus is a member of the Mission Rotary Club and he regularly presents at various wellness events supporting his community. Make sure to say hi if you run into Markus at 6 am at the Leisure Centre during an AquaFit class.

From a young age, Zach had a fascination with dentistry and planned to become a dentist. Zach was doing his undergraduate degree at the University of the Fraser Valley when he began to intern at Fischer Denture Clinic at the invitation of his (now) father-in-law, Markus Fischer. Zach quickly found a love and passion for denturism and subsequently made the decision to switch out of his undergraduate studies at UFV and enrolled in the denturist program at CDI College in the fall of 2020.

Zach continued to work at Fischer Denture Clinic while in school, and gained invaluable experience learning from Markus during those years. Zach graduated his program in January 2023, completed his licensing exams, and received his denturist license August 2023.

Zach currently resides in his hometown of Abbotsford with his wife. Markus intends for Zach to take over Fischer Denture Clinic when he one day retires; in the meantime, we are privileged to have 2 wonderful denturists, so we can better serve the growing community of Mission.

Heather began her career as a dental technician in 2006, and over the past 18+ years, has built a reputation for excellence in the field. With a passion for advancing dental technology, she has honed her expertise across various departments, mentoring and training others along the way. Since 2011, Heather has specialized in 3Shape software and digital design, leveraging cutting-edge techniques to create customized, aesthetically pleasing smiles. Combining traditional methods with the latest digital innovations, she is dedicated to delivering high-quality results that enhance both function and appearance for every patient.

Heather joined Fischer Denture clinic in September 2024 and is thrilled to continue her career in her hometown of Mission BC, where she is raising her family. She values the opportunity to contribute to her community while pursuing her professional passions and is excited to be part of a team that shares her commitment to excellence in dental care.

Erika studied kinesiology and biology while playing basketball for Douglas College, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Coaching.

While taking some web development courses for fun, Erika discovered a passion for digital organization and made a career switch to office management in 2018.

Before joining Fischer Denture Clinic in October 2023, Erika was working as a hiring and HR manager at a large manufacturing facility in Surrey, and remotely managed 2 small businesses in Alberta prior to that.

Erika resides in Abbotsford, and enjoys any opportunity to pick up her guitar or watch a basketball game.
