Our In-House Digital Denture Laboratory

Where Technology Meets Craftsmanship

At Fischer Denture Clinic, we combine digital technology with meticulous craftsmanship to create dentures that fit comfortably, function naturally, and are designed specifically for you. Every stage—from your first scan to the final polish—is completed in our in-house laboratory, giving us complete control over quality and allowing us to refine every detail.

Technology doesn’t replace experience – it enhances it. Our digital workflow gives our denturists and laboratory team greater precision, consistency, and flexibility, while still allowing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that every custom denture deserves.

Every denture is designed, manufactured, and quality checked right here in our Mission, BC laboratory.

Portable Intraoral Scanner

Every patient receives a complimentary digital scan of their mouth and existing dentures during the consultation. This quick, comfortable scan provides several important benefits:

Digital Record: A digital record of your dentures can be invaluable if they are ever lost or damaged beyond repair. With a scan, we can often recreate your dentures much more efficiently than starting from scratch.

Tracking Changes: Digital scans allow us to compare changes in your mouth over time. This gives your denturist valuable information when planning future treatments.

Patient Education: Seeing is understanding. Many patients find it much easier to understand their treatment when they can see detailed 3D images of their own mouth. Your denturist can use these scans to explain your oral health, show you exactly how your dentures fit, and help you understand why specific treatment recommendations are being made.

Designing Dentures: Our digital scans are imported directly into our 3D denture design software, where every denture is custom designed with precision. This digital workflow allows for greater accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail than traditional hand-crafted methods alone.

Custom Digital Denture Design

Every denture we create is custom designed in our in-house digital laboratory. Working closely with your denturist, our experienced lab technician designs every denture specifically for you, allowing for precision, customization, and consistency that isn’t possible with traditional methods alone.

This custom digital denture design from our clinic was featured on the Fall 2025 cover of Denturism Canada, the official journal of the Denturist Association of Canada.

3D Printing Technology

Our in-house 3D printers allow us to create custom appliances quickly and accurately, giving us greater control over every stage of the denture-making process. Because everything is produced right here in our laboratory, we can work more efficiently while maintaining the high level of quality our patients expect.

Faster turnaround: Producing appliances in-house helps reduce delays caused by sending work to an outside laboratory.

Greater precision: Every printed appliance is created directly from your digital records, helping us achieve a more accurate fit.

Better customization: Our digital workflow allows us to create appliances designed specifically for your mouth—not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Custom Impression Trays

Unlike standard stock trays that come in a limited range of sizes, we design and 3D print impression trays that are made specifically for your mouth. A better-fitting tray helps us capture a more accurate impression, creating the foundation for a better-fitting denture.

Custom fit: Designed specifically for your mouth instead of selecting the closest available stock tray.

Improved accuracy: A better-fitting tray allows for a more precise impression.

Better results: Every denture begins with an accurate impression, making this one of the most important steps in creating a comfortable, natural-fitting denture.

Try Your Dentures Before They're Finished

Before creating your final dentures, we produce a 3D printed trial denture that you can wear for approximately one to two weeks. This allows you to experience your new smile before your final dentures are milled, giving us the opportunity to make refinements and ensure the best possible result.

Preview your new smile: See how your dentures look before they’re finalized.

Test the fit and bite: Wear your trial dentures during everyday activities so adjustments can be made before the final version is created.

Greater confidence: Small refinements can make a big difference in comfort, appearance, and function.

3D Printed Transitional Dentures

Following tooth extractions, your gums and jawbone naturally change shape as they heal. Our 3D printed transitional dentures are designed for this healing period, providing an attractive smile while allowing your mouth to stabilize before your final custom dentures are made.

Immediate confidence: Leave your extraction appointment with teeth already in place.

Supports healing: Transitional dentures help guide your gums as they heal after extractions, creating a better foundation for your final custom dentures.

A better final result: Having teeth to wear during healing means there’s no need to rush into your final dentures. Allowing your mouth to fully heal before creating your permanent dentures leads to a more precise fit and a better long-term result.

Precision Milling Technology

Every permanent denture we create begins as a solid block of premium acrylic. Our precision milling machine carves each denture directly from this material with exceptional accuracy, creating a restoration that is strong, consistent, and custom made for you.

Greater strength: Traditional dentures are made by packing acrylic into a mold and curing it under heat. Our milled dentures are carved from a highly compressed, fully cured solid block of premium acrylic, creating a stronger, more durable foundation.

Exceptional precision: Computer-guided milling allows for remarkable accuracy and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

Peace of mind: If your denture is ever lost or damaged beyond repair, we can often recreate it using your saved digital design instead of starting from scratch. Combined with our in-house milling technology, this means you can often have a replacement much sooner—so you’re not left without your smile any longer than necessary.

Custom Milled Teeth & Dentures

Every denture is individually designed for the patient who will wear it—never selected from a shelf or mass-produced. Once the digital design is complete, both the denture and its custom tooth setup are manufactured in our in-house laboratory, allowing us to control every detail from start to finish.

Custom tooth design: Rather than relying only on pre-manufactured tooth setups, we digitally design each patient’s tooth arrangement to create a natural appearance and a balanced bite.

Precision manufacturing: Every denture is milled from premium materials using computer-guided technology for outstanding accuracy and consistency.

Complete in-house workflow: From digital design and custom tooth setup to milling, finishing, and final quality checks, every stage is completed in our own laboratory.
